Join us at Fitger's to hear from local author Lucie Amundsen!
Amundsen is a writer, marketer, and reluctant farmer. Her book, Locally Laid: How We Built a Plucky, Industry-changing Egg Farm--From Scratch, was recently nominated for a Goodreads choice award, won the 2016 Midwest Choice Award for Nonfiction, and has now been chosen as the 2017 One Book Northland community-wide read.
Amundsen co-owns Locally Laid Egg Company, a farm that provides locally sourced and sold pasture-raised eggs in the Upper Midwest. She sits on the Hartley Nature Center board and also holds a masters of fine arts in writing from Hamline University.
Community members and area book groups are invited to read the book, and hear Amundsen speak about her experience on Tuesday, April 25 at 7:00 p.m. at Fitger’s.
