Wintering with Peter Geye

6:00 PM - 7:00 PM

Event Details

When the earliest European explorers first rode their canoes ashore on the Northwestern coast of Lake Superior some three hundred years ago, they found a wilderness that in many ways remains unchanged to this day. Wintering tells of an ill fated journey into this same wilderness in the late autumn by two men. The presentation will show the sources that informed the writing, including images of maps that play a central role in this story.

Paid for in part by the Minnesota Arts & Cultural Heritage Fund.
