Senior Moments at Mount Royal Branch Library

Second Tuesday of the month at 11 am

June 13:
Introduction to Facebook / Welcome to Facebook
Facebook is helping to keep families and friends connected online.  Learn what Facebook is and how it is used.  Create your own Facebook account.  Learn how to look at others’ Facebook pages, search for friends, and log in and out.  Bring your own mobile device (iPad, laptop, etc…) if you have one.  Prerequisite: you need to have your own email address to sign up for a Facebook account.  Ask library staff ahead of time if you need help setting up an email account.  

July 11:
Help to Stay in the Home
Age Well Arrowhead
Information about Age Well Arrowhead’s help to stay in the home services include: Groceries-to-Go, Senior Wheels, homemaker help, and chore help. They are all designed to support healthy aging and independence.  Age Well Arrowhead will discuss how their services have helped seniors remain independent and how to access services, and volunteer opportunities with Age Well that support aging and independence of older adults living in our community. 

Aug 8:
Senior Yoga
Gentle Yoga and Stretching for Seniors.  Yoga can help increase flexibility, relax muscles, and reduce anxiety or stress. Wear comfortable clothing that allows for movement.
