Twin Ports Genealogical Society: Annual Meeting and Election
The Twin Ports Genealogical Society (TPGS) will be holding an election for the Vice President and one board member. Please consider stepping up and becoming active in running our organization.

Gaming in the Teen Space
Teens in grades 6-12! Come to the teen space on the Superior street level to game. We will
have a Nintendo Switch, plenty of board games and more available for you to
use. Snacks will be served while quantities last.
Eye-Catching Experiments
Join us for some colorful and dazzling science experiments. We will learn about color and light as we build our own kaleidoscopes. Then we will work with states of matter as we create our own lava lamps in this program focusing on STEM concepts.
This program is best suited for grades 2-5. Registration is required. Please enter only the names of the children
who will be attending when registering.
Searching for Medical Information with the Essentia Health Library
Learn how to find medical information from reliable sources with the Essentia Health Library. This Zoom program will cover where on the web to find trusted health information, clinical trials info, pill identifier resources, and healthy living tips. Medical issues can be confusing and frustrating. Knowing more about a medical issue can help a person feel empowered to advocate for themselves or loved ones. Please register to receive Zoom link.
Family Storytime at the Main Library
Start the morning with a storytime geared for kids ages birth to preschool in the Gold Room. You and your children will have fun while building essential early literacy skills through stories, songs, rhymes, and movement. Head over to the Green Room afterwards for open play time that builds both large and fine motor skills and helps get those wiggles out. Even if you miss storytime, you can drop in anytime before 11:30 a.m. to play.

Geared for kids ages birth to preschool, we will
share books, songs, and fingerplays. The focus will be on having fun and
sharing the joy of learning essential early literacy skills.

Craft Supply Swap
Join us for the second annual FREE craft supply exchange at the Mount Royal Branch Library! Pick up some new-to-you, gently used craft supplies to revitalize your stock. All items will be free, but please be mindful so that everyone has a chance to browse.
If you donate supplies in April, you’ll receive a ticket for early
entry to the event! Early entry will begin at 2:00 PM. New or gently used craft
supply donations will be accepted starting Monday, April 1, during normal
library hours at the Mt. Royal Branch service desk. You do not have to donate
to attend the swap in May.

Minnesota is fortunate to have several Barn Quilt Trails. Pieces of art that adorn the side of barns and buildings throughout the state are set up to not only pay homage to heritage or interests, but to bring people into an area. Instructor Jay Grammond will lead you around the state to give you a sampling of what is out there in the hope that you will create your own road trip!
Suitable for Adults and Teens.

Kid Construction Series: BUILDER'S CLUB
Do you love to build stuff? Come join us for our Kid Construction Series! Our first gathering of the month we’ll have some fun with LEGO®! Our second gathering of the month, in addition to the LEGO®, we’ll get out an assortment of other cool building toys, as well as everyday household building materials like cardboard, popsicle sticks and recycled materials.
Each session participants can
partake in different building challenges, or chose to free build and let their
imaginations guide their creations! Geared to kids ages 5 and up.
Emily on the Trail
Fresh off a 5-month trip in Alaska, Emily Ford and her 4-legged
friend will be at the Mount Royal Branch Library on Wednesday, May 15, to share
their adventures with us! Emily, the first woman to thru-hike Wisconsin's
1,200-mile Ice Age National Scenic Hiking Trail in winter, believes that everyone
deserves to discover the outdoors, regardless of race, gender identity, or
upbringing. Inspiring the community through her blog, films, and children’s
book, join us as Emily shares photos and stories from her trip! All ages
welcome.
